Nungwi is a village to the north coast of Zanzibar a home of famous dhow building in Zanzibar which is the cultural attraction of Zanzibar, since centuries the locals are building these woods curved boats with simply local tools.

You will visit one of the local houses and see how people are living, further more you will visit the local fishermen and fish market.
At Nungwi you will also visit the Sea turtle Project initiated by Eco & Culture as one of our ecological project. Sea turtles are endangered species world-wide, especial in Zanzibar sea turtles are widely extinct; this protection project raises sea turtles in a natural lagoon, in this aquarium sea turtles are bred.
After tour you will have some time to relax at the beach. This day trip price includes a guide, and entrance fees, there are many restaurants around there where you can choose for lunch (not included in the trip price)

• Visit Nungwi Fish Market

The best time to visit early morning, when the fish market is lively and crowded, Depending on the fishing of previous night, you might see, tunas , king fishes, dorado’s and variety of other big fishes. in morning, local fisherman and women Head to the barrier reef to catch number of deferent small sea creatures, squids, Octobers, puffer fishes, sometimes rays that you can buy at the fish market throughout the day

• Visit the dhow building capital of Zanzibar

We will stop at the blacksmith and see the traditional way of making the tools for the construction of dhows. At the construction site, we will see the way dhows have been built for centuries and see how skilled craftsmen bend wood to create the dhows. Take advantage of the opportunity to try your hand at this unique craft.

• Visit & Swim at Mnarani Natural Aquarium

visit to the Nungwi Mnarani Aquarium where you’ll swimming with see turtles, the Half day swim with turtles in Zanzibar, Escape to Northern Zanzibar where a natural lagoon is full of sea turtles.During the visit you can also feed turtles with sea weed or just spend your time in the water with them, Also, you can take snorkeling mask to dive and watch them in their natural environment.
